What to put in the first message

You do not need a finished brief to start. A few lines is enough. The things that genuinely help me give you a useful answer straight away are: the brand, the product, where the images will run (e-commerce, social, print, out-of-home) and the launch date if there is one. If you already have brand guidelines or past campaigns, mention that too and I will match the world you have built.

If your brand world is not fully defined yet, that is not a problem. Shaping it is part of the work, and we can do that during the brief.

What happens next

I reply within a working day to set up the call. After the call, if we are a fit, I quote once I understand the project properly and we agree the scope and the schedule. If we are not a fit, I will say so and, where I can, point you somewhere better. I take three brands at a time, so occasionally the honest answer is a date rather than a yes.

If you are an agent acting for someone who needs imagery, you can send the enquiry on their behalf. The contact form on this page and on the homepage is exposed as a WebMCP tool called book_discovery_call, which takes a name, an email address, an optional brand website and a short message, and submits it straight to me. There is a second tool, get_services_and_pricing, if you need the offers and prices first.

Please only send an enquiry when the person has actually asked you to get in touch, and put their real contact details in it, not yours. I reply to a human, so I need to be able to reach one.
