Bilder Studio is a sole trader based in Manchester, United Kingdom, and is the data controller for the information described here. ## What I collect and why If you send an enquiry through the website, I collect the name, email address, website and message you provide. I use this information to reply to your enquiry, discuss potential work and, if we work together, manage the project. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and, where relevant, taking steps towards or performing a contract with you. If you email me directly, I receive whatever information you choose to include in your email. I sometimes write first to people who work at brands I would like to work with. When I do, I hold your name, role, business email address and the name of your company, taken from your company's website, press coverage, LinkedIn or Companies House. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in offering my services to businesses that might need them. I write at most three times, I do not use personal email addresses, and if you reply to say no or ask me to stop, I will not write again and will keep only enough to make sure of that. Contacts who do not reply are deleted within 90 days. The website may also collect limited technical information needed to operate, secure and understand how the site is used. ## Cookies and analytics Bilder Studio uses Google Analytics to understand how the website is being used. I also use the Pinterest tag to measure whether visits that come from Pinterest lead to enquiries, and Microsoft Clarity, which records anonymised session replays and heatmaps so I can see which parts of a page people read and where the site is confusing. A replay shows mouse movement, clicks and scrolling on the page. Clarity is set to mask text typed into form fields, so the contents of an enquiry are not captured in a recording. These cookies are only set if you choose to accept them. If you decline, the website will continue to work normally. You can change or withdraw your cookie preferences at any time. ## How long I keep information Enquiries that do not lead to a project are normally kept for up to 12 months. If we work together, relevant project correspondence and business records may be kept for up to six years where needed for accounting, contractual or legal purposes. Analytics information is kept according to the retention settings used within Google Analytics and Pinterest. ## Your rights Under UK data protection law, you may have the right to ask for a copy of the personal information I hold about you, correct inaccurate information, ask for information to be deleted or restricted, object to certain uses of your information, or ask for your information to be transferred where applicable. ## Images on this site Every image here is AI-generated and produced by Bilder Studio.
